Through comprehensive cleaning and rectification of small hydropower stations, the annual cumulative power generation of hydropower has increased by 28 percent year on year.

According to statistics, in 2019, the total installed capacity of the city's power points was 5.23 million kilowatts (including China Resources A and B power plants in Guangdong Province). Among them, the installed capacity of renewable energy was 3.14 million kilowatts, accounting for 60 percent, which was 6 percent higher than the provincial average level, and the energy structure was significantly optimized. In 2019, the cumulative power generation of renewable energy sources was 6.3 billion kilowatt hours, accounting for 48 percent of the total power consumption of the whole society, which provided a powerful force for the city's green development energy support.

With the implementation of the joint approval mechanism for wind power projects, the approval of wind power projects that have been suspended for two years has been restarted, the authority of wind power environmental review and approval has been delegated, and the city's existing wind power projects have been accelerated. In 2019, the scale of wind power grid connection in the city increased by 213300 kilowatts, an increase of 21 percent, accounting for about 30 percent of the scale of grid connection in the province.

Photovoltaic power generation projects are booming. By 2019, seven ordinary commercial photovoltaic bidding projects in our city have been approved successively, with a total installed capacity of 201500 kilowatts, and six projects have been successfully connected to the grid; 498 village level photovoltaic poverty alleviation power stations and 2000 household photovoltaic poverty alleviation projects have been accepted and evaluated; 200000 kilowatt parity online photovoltaic power generation projects in Guiyang County of CGNPC have been successfully signed, and all preliminary work has been carried out smoothly.

The garbage incineration power generation project is progressing smoothly. At present, there is one grid connected garbage incineration power generation project in our city, with a total installed capacity of 30000 kilowatts and a garbage treatment capacity of 1250 tons / day. The garbage in the central region is treated as a whole. In 2019, the domestic waste incineration power generation project of Jiahe County was approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission. In the first phase, a waste incinerator with a capacity of 600 tons / day has been built, equipped with a 12 megawatt steam turbine generator set, to deal with garbage in the western and southern regions as a whole. Currently, construction is under way.
